Our next project is raising the weir named “Suni weir” on the Pompue River.
The weir project will be constructed in 3 parts. Each completed as we have the funds. The first part has been completed with existing funds. It worked well but didn't hold enough water. It did last until August. The next 2 parts will raise the water height another 2 feet each. These will be $1,000 and $1,500 as the weir gets taller it also gets wider. We need some help with that goal.
The first pictures show the river is nothing but sand. There was a narrow opening that could be filled in with concrete to hold water. The cost is mostly labor and not much in materials.
The later pictures show the weir overflowing and holding water well. The area is a few miles from other surface water.
4 MORE FEET OF DEPTH WILL MAKE THIS WATER SOURCE RELIABLE THROUGH THE DRY SEASONS.
